Oceans Healthcare believes in providing the best possible patient care in the least restrictive environment. Oceans has implemented an online Corporate Compliance/Program Integrity Plan so that all patients, families and employees, have a voice in how each hospital operates on a daily basis.

Dena Biagas Jules is Oceans' Corporate Compliance/Program Integrity Officer. She has been an employee of Oceans since 2006. She is originally from Lake Charles and was delighted to have recently had the opportunity of relocating back to the place she calls home along with her husband, Marco, and daughter, Alex, to serve in this position. Dena has over 15 years of experience in the medical field. She is a graduate of LaGrange Senior High School where she was a charter member of the Health Occupations Program and upon completion of this program, was a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Ms.Jules began her career in the medical field at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital where she gained experience in Guest Relations, Medical Records, and Social Services/Discharge Planning. She was also a member of the Bereavement Team. While working , she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and then a Masters Degree of Education in Instructional Technology from McNeese State University.

After working for five years in the psychiatric field as a utilization review coordinator/case manger, administrative assistant, and then Performance Improvement Director, Ms. Jules’ experience includes: communication with regulatory agencies, survey processes, medical record audits, developing plans of action for noncompliance issues, and assisting in the creating, revision, and implementation of hospital policies and procedures.
